  • If you use a banktransfer as payment from a non dutch bank account payment must be completed  directly.  Any later date for payment completion and your booking will be rejected. Unfortunately some bad experiences in the past.

Enrol by clicking on the button and go to the cart. You complete the details and payment online. We do not accept any creditcards.

If you are unable to make payment via the system, please complete the application form (under downloads) and send it by email to  info@SafeHavenTraining.nl. You can immediately make payment to the account mentioned on the application form.

Within 24 hours (after payment has been received) you will receive the acces codes to the online RYA interactive learning platform. You then log on to the course and enter the Username and Password we have supplied you when you purchased the test and then you are up and running!

 

Anyone requiring an ICC valid for inland European waters must pass the CEVNI Test. Safe Haven Training can only acces online information of students who have booked the course at Safe Haven Training (we do not have acces to courses booked somewhere else!)

To validate your ICC (International Certificate of Competence) for inland European waters you must take the CEVNI test, which checks your knowledge of the rules and signs, sounds, lights that skippers of pleasure craft are expected to know and follow.

Course content

The RYA online CEVNI test is a short multiple choice online assessment paper that you can take remotely from anywhere in the world.

 

As part of the online CEVNI test, you have unlimited practise tests before taking it for real.

When you feel ready to take the real test, the online CEVNI test will be displayed.

 

The CEVNI test contains of 2 parts and takes approximately 20 minutes.

  • Part 1 consists of 15 questions on signs and buoyage
  • Part 2 has 15 questions on lights, shapes and sound signals

There is a time limit for each question which is sufficient if you have studied adequately. Do first a couple of time one of the unlimited practise tests.

Once you have completed the online CEVNI test, you will be told immediately whether you have been successful or not.

You are strongly recommend you complete some pre-reading/study prior to completing your online test.

The “RYA European waterways regulations (the CEVNI rules explained)” publication G17 provides the information you need to learn the code in a clear and concise way. You can purchase it as book or eBook via the RYA website.

Via this website you can find the official UN booklet and download it for free.

The RYA book is probably more appropriate to use.

 

Privacy/GDPR

To enable access to your online course we need to share some of your personal data with the RYA via your user profile in www.ryainteractive.org. This learning management website is hosted and maintained by a third party called Learning Pool, who will not use your personal information for any reason other than enabling your course.

Your name and email address will be entered on www.ryainteractive.org in order to create your user account. On your first access to the site, you will be asked to enter your address and date of birth. You will have access to the site for one year in order to complete your online course. During this period, your personal information will be held on the website by Learning Pool and be available to this training centre and the RYA for the purpose of managing your course.

Instructional support will be provided by this training centre for a period of 1 year from the date of your course booking.

On completion of your course, your name, email, date of birth and address will be transferred to the RYA’s central database for the purpose of recording details of the course and any certification you gain as a result of it. This information allows the RYA to record your certification, to update any records they may already hold about you or your qualifications and to verify your certificate if required.

After one year from the date of your enrolment on a course, your user account will be removed from www.ryainteractive.org.

Full details of how the RYA will deal with your personal information will be displayed when you first access www.ryainteractive.org.

For the duration of your access to the site, your data will be held in accordance with the RYA Interactive Data Policy, Terms and Conditions.

If you receive a digital certificate downloaded from the RYA Interactive site on completion of your course, your name, address, date of birth and certificate details will be transferred to the RYA database and held in accordance with the RYA’s Privacy Policy.
